Orchard House Council meeting

The House Council met at 130pm today to discuss issues related to Orchard. The House Council is an opportunity for Orchard boys to think about how to improve facilities and voice concerns.
The School Council representatives, Kabir Dhillon and George Lawley will then represent our views on the School Council.

The following issues were raised:

1. Registration at lunchtime- prefer it to be the same as the morning.
2. Can the sports hall be open over lunch for table tennis- especially when weather is wet. CEA to ask.
3. Better pictures in the junior day room needed.
4. Clock needed in day room.
5. Year 12 requested to be allowed to do football Tuesday 5-6 if academic work up to date. Agreed by CEA
6. Can Orchard have a House hoodie/ tracksuit this year? Costs to be looked into.
7. Request for chess, draughts and other games to be available in day room.
8. Can TV in junior day room be replaced with a flat screen.
9. Year group trips/outings- is this possible? CEA to look at costs, but yes. Year 9 will have a trip later this term. Year groups to come up with suggestions.

The House Council also discusses how to raise money for charity. Our local charity is the Chiltern Centre which works with disabled children in Henley. The Council will discuss ideas for fund raising at its next meeting.
